We usually reply within a couple of days. Writing in Arabic or English is equally fine.

01What Qisma does

One person photographs the receipt and Qisma reads every line item. Everyone taps what they ordered, and the app works out each person's exact share, with VAT and service charge split fairly. You then tick off who has paid.

It also tracks who owes whom between friends, and runs group savings circles (جمعية) with a clear turn order.

Qisma never moves money. It records who owes what. Every settlement happens directly between you and the people you split with — in cash, by bank transfer, or however you normally settle up — outside the app. We never collect card or bank details.

02A receipt didn't scan properly

Faded thermal print is the usual culprit. It helps to:

  • Flatten the receipt and photograph it straight on, not at an angle.
  • Get even light on it, avoiding a hard shadow across the middle.
  • Fit the whole receipt in frame, including the totals at the bottom.

You can always correct any line the scan got wrong, or add items by hand, before confirming the split. If a receipt consistently fails, email it to us and we will take a look.

03Qisma Pro, billing, and cancelling

Every account gets 3 bills per month free. Qisma Pro removes that limit, billed Monthly, Yearly, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase.

  • On iPhone or iPad: manage or cancel in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • On Android: manage or cancel in the Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy.

Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the current period ends. Changed device or reinstalled? Open the profile screen and tap Restore Purchases to bring your subscription back.

04Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, in the profile screen. That removes your account and personal data.

A bill or savings circle you took part in may keep your name and share amount if other members still need it for their own history — the same way a paper receipt would. If you would rather we handled the deletion for you, email us.
